The 13 local Conservative candidates standing in this year's Rushmoor Borough Council Elections have just launched a bold, ambitious and dynamic plan to radically improve the towns and local services.
The Plan consists of 14 points developed based on thousands of conservations with local residents and on extensive study of the most successful policies being pursued by councils around the world.
Every one of the Conservative council candidates has pledged to ensure that The Plan, which will serve as their manifesto for the forthcoming elections, is implemented in their time in office.
The Plan consists of 14 points covering everything from creating great new jobs, expanding home ownership to more people, improving health provision, local policing and roads and building on our great community groups, heritage and strengths in science and innovation to put our towns on the map.
Launching The Plan, Mary Hartley, the local candidate for Wellington Ward said:
"Residents take a huge pride in our local identity and history - it is amazing to have a plan to make the most of this and to put Rushmoor on the map.
"Together with practical steps to improve policing, attract more jobs and improve local health services this is a great Plan for Rushmoor and we look forward to putting into action soon."
Len Amos, local community candidate in Fernhill Ward said:
"Residents keep on telling us how we need to improve local roads, have more of a cultural offering in Farnborough town centre and improve the quailty of local development across the board.
"Now we have a plan to do just this - we hope that residents back us and Our Plan on 4 May and give us the opportunity to improve lives in Rushmoor for the better."
Gareth Lyon, local community candidate in West Heath Ward said:
"We believe in opportunity, in giving everyone the best possible chance to get on in life. That means attracting great local jobs to the area, supporting local businesses to thrive and to grow, making our towns even better places to live - and giving even more people the security and certainty which comes from owning your own home.
"This Plan will make a huge difference to people's lives and I strongly encourage people to read it and to get behind it."
Alongside their local election campaigns the candidates will be looking to secure support from Rushmoor's existing councillors and cabinet for their Plan to secure its implementation from May onwards.
