The proposed regeneration of Farnborough's civic quarter has taken a major step forward this week after our Development Management Committee approved the outline planning application submitted by the Rushmoor Development Partnership for the 12.2 hectare town centre site.
The masterplan includes a new leisure centre; a civic hub, including a new library and community floor space; a new hotel; shopping and commercial development; a new skate park; a high-quality central park and up to 960 new homes.
It identifies nine zones for future development for which individual detailed plans will come forward later.
