Welcome to my March Newsletter which you can read in full, by clicking here.
This month has seen important developments on local policing and a new national approach to tackling anti-social behaviour. As a Member of Parliament, these are issues constituents write to me about regularly, and cracking down on crime is a top priority for me and our local Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones.
Our fantastic local hospital, Frimley Park is in need of rebuilding and modernisation. This month, I've joined forces with neighbouring MPs to back Frimley's bid to the New Hospital Programme to secure the funds it needs for this important work.
Work on the regeneration of our town centres continues apace; the superstructure for Union Yard in Aldershot is now complete and the demolition of The Galleries is progressing well. I am asking for your views on what you and your family would like to see at Farnborough's planned new Leisure and Civic Hub - take part in my 60 second survey, linked below.
A week ago I attended, in my capacity as the Minister for Europe, the signing in London of the historic Windsor Framework between the UK and EU, which will help to restore stability and ensure that the delicate balance of the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement is protected.
And finally, the Chancellor delivered his Spring Budget at the beginning of the month, with a series of important measures to help families deal with the cost of living, grow the economy and tackle inflation.
As ever, if I can be of assistance to you as your local MP, please do not hesitate to get in touch via my website here.
With very best wishes,
Leo Docherty MP
