Join us for an exclusive guided tour of Tice's Meadow Nature Reserve.
Take a walk on the Biodiversity Trail - circa 1.5 miles which starts in woods, which although only planted in 2000, are full of woodland birds such as Great Spotted Woodpecker, Bullfinch, Treecreeper and Nuthatch. From Horton's Mound we'll view the flooded meadow, which should hold Lapwing, Snipe, Meadow Pipits, Stonechats and numerous geese and duck species. A walk through the reed beds leads to the waterside hide, for close views of the Great Crested Grebes, Coots, Moorhens and perhaps a Kingfisher. We'll return along the river Blackwater, via the woodland feeding station, for close views of more woodland birds."
Meet at the main entrance on Badshot Lea Road, opposite the van sales forecourt of Farnham Vehicle Sales GU9 9LS as there is more on-street parking here. The tour will start promptly at 10am. Sensible walking shoes are advised.
Tickets are £5 and are available on a first-come-first served basis.
